Satnam is not only for the Saints, but for you as well

Satnam is not only for the Saints, but for you as well

Ik Onkar Satnam Sat GurParsaad.

Sat Sat Satnam Sat Sat Satnam Sat Sat Satnam

This head bows at the holy feet of the Guru and the Gur - God; all of the Saints, Rishis, Peers, Bhagats and the congregation.

Satnam is not only for saints, it is for the main benefit of all mankind including you. Guru Nanak Ji emphasized that the recital of Satnam is the most important deed for any human being. Infact, the Guru Granth Sahib, Sikh Sciptures, start with the message of recital of the Creators name "SATNAM" with the grace/blessing of Guru.

If one is going on a pilgrimage Guru Ji said Satnam is the Holy Bath. If one wants to worship the Lord, Satnam is the worship. Without Satnam everything is false. At the end merely the one who has been blessed with the mantra of God's name, Satnam, remains in Truth.

Satnam is hungry for your love and His meditation/memory/devotion. He gave you the body, the breath and all the necessities of life and you want to do business with Him by offering a fraction of the thing that was given. You are trying to be smart won't work. One has to surrender completely, like He surrendered by living inside you( i.e. inside the body and mind home is a house where He resides) and you usually do not even notice it. He gave your fate in your hands by creating Law Of Karma i.e. whatever you seed thou shall you reap.

They all say the scriptures are God's word, but they do not really practice or do what they must be really religious. There is no mention of what a religious person should wear or appear to be. There is no speak about any rituals one should carry out to please the Creator. The Scriptures only tell you how you should live life by practising Truth, Love, Humility, Service, Kindness & so on.

Those things are only possible if one can possibly see Him in anything, for which you have to go through Satnam recital inside yourself. However, you can have congregatation associated with holy persons only if it's your destiny. Unfortunately we have gone returning to rirualism rather than working for the main benefit of others.

We must take the message of Guru Nanak Ji to the world/masses.

Dust of your holy feet,

Rajinder Chahal.
